Mysuru: With the objective of creating awareness among the public about arthritis, joint pain and other joint-related disorders, JSS Radio 91.2 FM Community Radio Station, Mysuru, is organising a live phone-in programme with an expert doctor.

Dr. R. Subramanian, Professor and Head of the Department of Rheumatology at JSS Medical College and Hospital, will participate in the programme to be held on Sept.18 from 11.30 am to 12.30 pm.

He will provide the public with essential information and expert health guidance on arthritis and various joint-related conditions.

The programme will cover important topics including what arthritis is, common causes of joint pain and swelling, Rheumatoid Arthritis, autoimmune diseases, early symptoms of arthritis, early diagnosis and screening, treatment options, the importance of medications, diet and lifestyle, exercise, and common misconceptions about arthritis.

The programme will also highlight the importance of not ignoring persistent joint pain or symptoms of arthritis and consulting a specialist at the appropriate time.
