Mysuru: The 111th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of the Muslim Co-operative Bank Ltd., was held on Sunday last at its Head Office Building on New Sayyaji Rao Road, Mysuru.

Bank President K.C. Shoukath Pasha presided and presented the report for the year 2025-26. He said that there was a lot of improvement in the development of the bank compared to the previous financial year.

“This year, the deposits have  increased by Rs. 12 crore — previous year Rs. 84.34 crore and current year Rs. 96 crore, Also, advances have increased by Rs. 63 crore and the bank has recovered Rs. 36 crore from the previous lending while the Gross NPA is reduced from 14.34 percent to 10.02%,” he added.

The AGM began with the recitation of Holy verses of Quran by Moulana Hafiz o Qari Inayath Ur Rahman Saheb Rizvi, Shahi Khateeb o Imam, Masjid Aqsa, Gumbad-e-Shahi,  Srirangapatna, Mandya.

Former President and Senior Director of the bank Dr. Abdul Ravoof welcomed. Senior Branch Manager of Main Branch of the bank Syed Abdul Irfan read the proceedings of the previous (110th) AGM. Scholarships were distributed to the children of shareholders who excelled in PUC & SSLC and senior shareholders were honoured.

Director Rahmath Ulla Shariff announced the names of students and senior shareholders who were felicitated.

Asst. Commissioners of Police Thomas Mathews and Mohamed Shariff Rowther were also felicitated by MLA Tanveer Sait and President Shoukath Pasha.

Sait,  who was recently Co-opted as Director of the bank, was also felicitated. Vice-President Alhaj Gulam Rabbani proposed  a vote of thanks. In-charge Chief Executive Officer Shaik Ibrahim, Senior Branch Manager of Main Branch Syed Abdul Irfan and other Directors of the bank were present on the dais.

Shareholders Altaf Peer, Sami Ulla, Sardar, Adeel Mehkri, Dr. Rafeeq Pasha, Mazhar and Syed Aalishan gave some valuable suggestions for the overall development of the bank.

Tanveer Sait suggested to convene the meeting of shareholders once in 3 months to solve the problems faced by them.
