The 3-day Nationwide Bank strike from Sept.28 to 30 called by the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) seeking fulfilment of demands has been postponed following an assurance given by Indian Banks Association (IBA) late on Sunday evening.

The UFBU has been demanding a 5-day work week and resolution of all pending residual issues, among others.

With the postponement of the strike, Banks across the country will now function as usual from today (Sept.28).

According to a UFBU release, the IBA and UFBU have decided to constitute a High-level Committee on declaring a 5-day work week.
