With reference to the letter titled ‘Endless wait for trains to enter Mysuru Station’ in Star of Mysore dated Sept. 17 regarding the detention of Train No. 12614 KSR Bengaluru-Mysuru Wadiyar Superfast Express, the following clarification is issued by South Western Railway (SWR), Mysuru Division, to place the correct facts before passengers and the general public:

The scheduled arrival of Train No. 12614 at Mysuru is 17:45 hrs. During the last 20 days, the train arrived late only on three occasions.

On 1.9.2026, the train arrived at 17:48 hrs, with a delay of 03 minutes.

On 9.9.2026, the train arrived at 17:58 hrs, with a delay of 13 minutes.

On 18.9.2026, the train arrived at 17:55 hrs, with a delay of 10 minutes.

As per the Operating Department, the brief detention was due to platform availability and clearance of other trains at Mysuru Station. Such operational requirements are managed to ensure safe and orderly movement of trains.
