National-level contest for students

Mysuru: The Union Ministry of Defence, in association with the Union Ministry of Education, has  organised ‘Project Veeragatha 6.0’ national-level contest for children, aimed at promoting patriotism, courage, valour and civic sense among school children.

The contest  (Poem/paragraph writing, painting and multi-media presentation) is open for students of 3rd to 12th standards studying in Government, aided, un-aided and CBSE schools.

The contest will be held under three categories — 3rd to 5th standard, 6th to 8th standard and 9th to 12th standard.

The schools should conduct an interaction with Shourya awardees before Oct.4 and the four best presentations must be uploaded in MyGov portal between Oct.5 and 19. The top hundred (25 from each category)  winners  at the National-level, called as ‘Super 100’,  will be awarded a cash prize of Rs.10,000 each and a Certificate.
