Mysuru: The Day-6 of YuvaSambhrama witnessed students paying tributes to late actor PuneethRajkumar at Kuvempu Open-Air Theatre in Manasagangothri here yesterday.

Students from various colleges performed to songs featuring PuneethRajkumar. The event not only celebrated ‘Appu’, as PuneethRajkumar was fondly called by his family members and fans, it also enlightened the audience about the actor’s involvement in various social activities. As the songs played on the stage, fans started shouting ‘Appu’, ‘Appu’. The audience also danced to his songs there by giving the actor a befitting tribute.

Following this, the performance of special children also attracted a lot of appreciation. One of the college troupes also performed to a song paying tributes to ‘Arjuna’, the elephant which carried the Golden Howdah eight consecutive times from 2012 to 2019. A total of 47 colleges performed at YuvaSambhrama yesterday. The performances were based on mythological stories, drug-free India, Jnanpith award winners, gender equality, women empowerment, patriotism and much more.
