Mysuru: The penultimate day of Mysuru Dasara Yuva Sambhrama-2026 provided yet another opportunity for young talents to showcase their skills in dance and music.
The dancing steps, postures and emotions unveiled by youths and children, including those with disabilities, provided a new aura of pure entertainment on the 9th day of this year’s Dasara Yuva Sambhrama held at Kuvempu Open-Air Theatre in Manasagangothri here yesterday.
The narration of ‘Punyakoti’ tale through dance by the differently abled children of Karunamayi Foundation was surely one of the highlights of the penultimate day’s show. Foundation’s special children beautifully presented the famous story of ‘Punyakoti’ by enacting evergreen song ‘Dharani Mandala Madhyadolage…’ through dance form.

Specially abled children, donning the costumes of cow, calf and tiger, followed every instruction given by their teacher stationed in front of the stage and presented the show.
This heart-touching performance was warmly appreciated by the audience by repeatedly clapping and acknowledging the performance of special kids.
Specially abled children from Many Hands Divyanga Charitable Trust conveyed the Saalumarada Thimmakka’s love for environment, her concern for nurturing saplings and her message to society through their dance..

Students of Sri D. Devaraj Urs Government First Grade College, Hunsur, recalled the services of Rajarshi Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar by presenting Kannada song ‘Nammura Kaayo Doreye, Mareyuvudunte Mysuru Doreya,’ through dance, exhibiting vision of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar, his pro-people administration and his contributions to the development of Karnataka.
Students of 47 schools and colleges presented programmes featuring Shiva Tandav Nritya and Raktabeejasura Vadha.
The students of Samarthanam Institute of Music and Performing Arts presented Yakshagana. A dance programme dedicated to civic workers hailing their services to society risking their health was presented by Maharani’s Women Commerce and Management College, Paduvarahalli (Vinayaka Nagar), Mysuru.
Another dance presentation appreciating the achievement of our sports persons at international events including Asian Games was appreciated by the audience.
The 10-day Yuva Sambhrama will conclude today (Oct. 7) evening with singer Vijay Prakash’s concert along with 50 new singers from across the State.
