CESC MD M.S. Archana transferred again

October 19, 2026

Mysuru: With just  two days left for the grand Jumboo Savari   (Oct. 21), marking the finale of the 11-day Dasara  festivities, CESC Managing Director (MD) M.S. Archana has been transferred.

The sudden transfer amidst Dasara has raised eyebrows in administrative circles.

Archana has now been appointed as MD of Karnataka State Minerals Corporation Limited (KSMCL) at Bengaluru with immediate effect.

It may be mentioned here that Archana, who was first appointed as CESC MD in May this year, was abruptly transferred last month just four months after her appointment.

But she was re-instated as CESC MD following a KAT order, within four days of her transfer. Now her transfer again has given rise to debates in administrative circles.

Questions are being raised whether the new CESC MD can understand the Dasara lighting arrangements and other related CESC activities in such a short period of time.
