KSCA Mysuru Zonal League: Sharath shines in MCC’s exciting win

An excellent all-round performance by left-arm spinner K.M. Sharath (seven for 48, two for 15, 40 n.o. & 45), helped Mysore Cricket Club (MCC) to register a exciting one-wicket win over Mysore University Colleges Sports Council (MUCSC) in the two-day KSCA Mysore Zone 1st Division league tie played at the PET Grounds in Mandya recently.

The Scores 1st Disivsion

MUCSC: 172 in 63.5 overs (Vishnu Priyan 53, N. Shreyas 47, Sharath 7 for 48, Prathamesh Patel 3 for 38) & 139 in 47.1 overs (Rajath 57, Arun 25, Naveen 4 for 38) lost to Mysore CC: 145 in 43.5 overs (Shivaprasad 45, Sharath 40 n.o., Harish 27, Gowtham 7 for 46) & 167 for 9 in 44 overs (Sharath 45, Vishwanath 33, Abhinoam Jacob 4 for 40, Arun 3 for 49). MCC: 5 points, MUCSC: 1.

Navodaya CC: 237 in 58.5 overs (Lochan Appanna 71, A.C. Chethan Kumar 31, Karthik 29, Vinyas 28, Kunal Pandya 26, Fayaz Pasha 4 for 17) & 176 in 45 overs (Aiyappa 51, Deepak 33, Pavan Rajaram 27, Prasanth 5 for 46) drew with SKRSC: 169 in 56.3 overs (Tejas 31, Rakesh 31, Aiyappa four for 21) & 91 for 2 in 30 overs (Ganesh 56 n.o.). Navodaya CC: 3 points, SKRSC: 1.

Mohan’s XI: 176 in 49.3 overs (Anjanava Saha 85, Syed Mohammed 37, Nishanth N. Gowda 3 for 52) & 125 for 4 in 41 overs (Madan Mohan 43 n.o, Anjanava Saha 27) drew with Vidyaranya CC: 158 in 69.3 overs (T. Niranjan 51, R. Ashrith 39, Toshiba 30, Madan Mohan five for 60). Mohan’s XI: 3 points, Vidyaranya CC: 1.

Karavali Cricketers: 463 for nine in 50 overs (Madan Basavaraj 146, Suhas Gowda 84, Sanketh Shetty 48, Poovaiah 46, Rahul V. Kashyap 31, Md.Jaffer Ali 31 n.o., B. Rohith 30, B.R. Bellur CC: 214 for eight in 50 overs (Swaroop Kumar 81,  Achyuth 46, Muneem Mehandi 33, Shashank Simha 28) lost to Jawahars CC: 215 for 6 in 46 overs (Sharana 76, Mahadev 56 n.o., Harsha 40, Kishan 3 for 30).

Star CC (Chamarajanagar): 156 in 35.5 overs (Aravindh 41, Ramesh 36, Yashwanth 3 for 12) lost to Mysore Gymkhana: 160 for 3 in 32.4 overs (Vineeth 64 n.o., Ismail Sheikh 40).

3rd Division

Friends CC: 148 in 36.5 overs (Mahadevappa 38, Afnan 4 for 36, Imran Khan 3 for 35) lost to Warriors CC: 151 for 7 in 37 overs (Varun 56, Mujahid Ahmed 35 n.o., Sagar 32, Deepak 3 for 39).

FACC: 84 in 31.2 overs (Shah Fahad Khan 30, Manoj 3 for 11, N. Nirmith 3 for 13) lost to RBNCC ‘B’: 86 for 4 in 12.1 overs (Vijeth 36, Nirmith 31 n.o.).

4th Division

Navajyothi CC: 323 for 6 in 50 overs (Manjunath 73, R. Rakesh 71, R. Madhusudhan 59, G. Vidyasagar 57, S. Harshith 35, B. Madhav 4 for 61) bt NMCC: 216 in 49 overs (Abhilash 71, Jayanth 51, Vignesh 32, K. Udhay 3 for 43).
