Mysuru: Observing that gathering information from various sources is an easy task today, Prof. Yashwanth Dongre, Director, PMEB, University of Mysuru (UoM), has said that what was important is collecting reliable and valued information.

He was speaking on the topic “Author Workshop on Scholarly Writing & Intellectual Ethics” at the workshop on article / book publishing process organised by the UoM Library in collaboration with Elsevier, South Asia, at the UoM Library Conference Hall, Manasagangothri here on Friday.

Emphasising on the need for developing skills on tapping information, Dongre stressed on the need for utilising all available technological tools in collecting vital information.

Ponting out that the research process has several dimensions & phases, he said that internet has revolutionised the world of information, which is vital for camping out advanced studies and research.
