Mysuru: Schools and colleges in Mysuru District will be closed on Nov.24 and 25 on account of the 83rd All India Kannada Sahitya Sammelana being held in the city from Nov.24 to 26. The Public Education Department, Bengaluru, made this announcement yesterday.

The schools will be working on next three Saturdays in the coming month to compensate the holidays, said the Deputy Director of Public Education Department in a release. Teachers who have been selected as volunteers for the Sammelana have to compulsorily report for the duties assigned to them and discharge them efficiently, he has stated.
