Miscreants snatch gold chain

Mysuru: Two bike borne miscreants have snatched a gold chain of a 63-year-old woman at J.P. Nagar here yesterday afternoon.

The elderly lady, who lost her gold chain weighing about 48 grams, has been identified as Shanthamma, a resident of Vidyaranyapuram in city.

Shanthamma, who had gone to the Government Hospital in J.P. Nagar, was on her way back, when two miscreants on a bike, who came from behind, yanked off her gold chain and sped from the spot.

Vidyaranyapuram Inspector Omkarappa and staff who rushed to the spot, conducted mahazar and have collected CCTV footages. The Police have also launched a hunt to nab the miscreants.
