Mysuru: The 45th Indian Dental  Association, Karnataka State and 4th Inter-State Dental Conference was held at Davangere recently. Indian Dental Association (IDA), Mysuru Branch, received three recognition awards for unique programmes which were conducted in association with IDA members of JSS Dental College and Hospital. The programme on “Reorientation  of  oral  health care delivery system through Nurses” was developed by  IDA members, team of faculty, Dr. B. Nandlal, Dr. N. Raghunath, Dr. Brinda Godhi, Dr. Meenakshi of JSS Dental College and Hospital.

This was an initiative by Dr. B. Nandlal, IDA State President -2017 and was carried forward by IDA Mysuru President-2017  Dr. N. Raghunath and  CDE Convenor Dr. Brinda Godhi.

The second award was for the educative poster on ergonomics in dentistry to prevent occupational hazards both to students and professionals developed by Dr. S. Meenakshi, Dr. Nitin V. Muralidhar and Dr. Nandlal. Third award was Dr. U.S. Krishna Nayak Rolling Trophy for best all-round student activity for year 2017.
