BVB School celebrates 15th anniversary

Mysuru: As part of the 15th anniversary of Bharathiya Vidya Bhavan (BVB) School, a function titled Naada-Ninada was organised at Open Air Theatre in Manasagangotri here last evening.

The students of the school presented an excellent cultural programme in colourful dresses portraying the Indian Culture. The elegantly illuminated stage added further glitter to the show.

The programme began with students of 8th and 9th standard presenting ‘Kinnari Nruthya’ with perfect synchronisation with music. It was followed by Rajasthani dance, Peacock dance, Punjabi dance, Arabian dance, snake dance and many more by students from 1st to 7th standard.

Speaking on the occasion, DDPI Manjula recalled that BVB School which opened in 2003 with just 46 students has a strength of over 1500 now. She pointed out that every child has a hidden talent which should only be identified and nurtured for the child to excel.

Addressing the gathering, City Police Commissioner Dr. A.S. Rao said that the public should shun negative opinion on  Police and added that children should be allowed to interact with Police for better understanding. Citing his own example he said that he switched over from medical profession to Police Department which justified the presence of inner aspiration and talent. He advised students to be always positive and optimistic in life.

Students R. Prajana, M. Pavana, A.S. Prakruti and Mekhala C. Rao who had excelled in SSLC exam, conducted in 2017 and S. Kinar (Sanskrit), M. Manasa (English), D. Rahul Adithya (Kannada), R. Kinar (Mathematics) and P. Prajwal (Science) who have scored cent percent in the respective subjects mentioned were presented prizes. BVB Bengaluru Chairman N. Ramanuja, BVB Mysuru Chairman A.V. Narasimhamurthy, Vice-Chairman and Star of Mysore Editor-in-Chief K.B. Ganapathy, Honorary Secretary P.S. Ganapathy, Treasurer Dr. A.T.
