At a time when corruption and crime is rampant, if there is still a certain level of peace maintained intact, then the credit goes entirely to the Police Department which works round the clock, 24/7, 365 days, unmindful of all personal commitments and sacrificing holidays, festivals and vacations, in the most trying of circumstances, come rain or sunshine, often putting personal life at risk.

Yet the most unfortunate fact remains that this selflessness and sacrifice from the Police personnel, especially from the lowest levels such as Constables, goes highly unnoticed and unacknowledged.

It is time that we as citizens show our respect and gratitude to them, not merely through lip service but through more meaningful and purposeful gestures.

It is here that Rotary Heritage Mysuru, an international organisation dedicated to serving humanity, as a part of its community service and the Musical Foundation, which is ever hungry to give something new every time to Mysuru public, Swara Saagara Music Foundation, Mysuru, has come up with ‘Swaraamrutha – 3: A salute to Mysuru City Police (Aarakshakarige Namana),’ a Musical Show dedicated to the Police force to be held at the Open Air Theatre, Manasagangothri, in city on Jan.20 from 5 pm onwards.

After the deduction of expenses, out of the balance fund 75% of the proceeds from the show will be donated to a Welfare Fund created exclusively to serve the collective objective of Mysuru City Police and Rotary Heritage Mysuru, noble venture of setting up a centre for advanced training and digital library for underprivileged but meritorious students attempting competitive exams like UPSC and KPSC. The remaining 25% will be used for various projects that Rotary does as part of it’s community service.

‘Swaraamrutha – 3’ will be a musical bouquet of different genres of songs from different languages, compositions conceived by the musical wizards   of Indian Cinema.

As a show of solidarity and support to them from the industry, superstars V. Ravichandran, Yash, Nada Brahma Hamsalekha, Magical Composer Arjun Janya and one of the biggest producers of south Indian Film Industry Rockline Venkatesh will be present on the occasion.

The soulful composer Anoop Seelin and the Oscar Award winner Vijay Prakash will be performing along with the cream of Mysuru talent such as  Shubha Raghavendra, Zee SaReGaMaPa Shree Harsha, Shreya Bhat, Vasudha Shastri, Rakshita Suresh, Zee SaReGaMaPa fame Arvind and the latest Mysuru singer on Zee SaReGaMaPa R. Tanushree.

The best of musicians such as Raghunath on Tabla, Deepak and Veeresh on Keyboard, Vinay Rangdhol on Rhythm Pad, Pradeep Kiggal on Base Guitar, Prakash Antony on Drum Sets and a few others will meticulously and diligently recreate the most difficult of orchestrations achieved in the safe havens of studios, aided by technology and software, live on stage.

This event will be recorded and circulated in over 34,282 Rotary Clubs in over 220 countries and a prominent TV channel is likely to telecast the event.
