With the officials making arrangements to receive nominations for the Assembly by-elections, not a single nomination was filed on Day-2 today. There was no nomination on Day-1 also possibly because it was a Tuesday, considered inauspicious.

Six people collected blank nomination papers from the Office of the Returning Officer at the Taluk Office for Nanjangud by-poll but not a single nomination was filed, said Dayanand, Assistant Returning Officer. The last date to file nomination is Mar.21.

Meanwhile, sources said that Congress candidate Kalale Keshavamurthy would be filing his papers on Mar. 20.
