DC asks officials to utilise SCP/TSP funds by end of this fiscal

Deputy Commissioner D. Randeep has warned the officials of legal action if they fail to utilise funds allocated under Special Component Plan (SCP) and Tribal Sub-Plan (TSP).

Addressing the officials at a meeting held at his office yesterday, Randeep said that out of Rs. 295 crore sanctioned by the Government for the financial year 2016-17, only Rs. 224 crore has been utilised for various projects. 75% funds are utilised under the plans by February. He directed the authorities concerned to utilise the funds before the end of current fiscal.

Zilla Panchayat CEO P. Shivashankar, Social Welfare Joint Director Prabha, District Tribal Welfare Officer Shivakumar, DDPI H.R. Basappa and others attended the meeting.
