Mandya:  Srirangapatna Police, who raided a quarry at Kodi Shettypura in the taluk, have arrested four person for possessing explosive materials. The Police had received complaints over the illegal use of explosives at the stone quarry belonging to Gram Panchayat Member Sathyaraj at Kodi Shettypura Survey No.93.

SI Puneeth and staff, acting on a tip off, raided the quarry and have seized a Bolero vehicle and the explosive materials, besides arresting four persons who were present at the quarry.

The arrested persons have been remanded to Judicial custody.

Police said that they have found gelatin sticks and other explosive materials during the raid.

Srirangapatna Rural Police, who have registered a case in this regard, are investigating.
