Miscreants flee with Rs. 62,000 cash, finger ring and bike

Mysuru:  An incident of miscreants assaulting a Mysuru City Corporation (MCC) employee and fleeing with his finger ring, cash and bike has been reported from near Highway Circle on Bamboo Bazar Road here on Sunday evening.

The person, who lost his belongings, has been identified as 31-year-old Kumar, son of late Narasimhaiah, residing at No.1021/1, 8th Cross, Sunnadakeri in K.R. Mohalla and an employee of the MCC Zonal Office.

It is learnt that on Sunday, Kumar attended a birthday function of his friend at a hotel near Highway Circle and left the place at about 6.30 pm in his Bajaj Victor bike (KA-09 Y-5638).

When he was proceeding on Bamboo Bazar Road, a gang of nine persons attacked him and snatched away Rs.62,000 cash, a gold finger ring weighing about four grams and his bike and fled from the spot.

Kumar later lodged a complaint at Mandi Police Station in this regard. Mandi Inspector Basavaraju, who has registered a case, is investigating.
