The 67th Wildlife Week was celebrated near Mysuru Palace’s Balarama Gate this morning where Dasara elephants and 67 NSS volunteers from Kuvempunagar Government PU College participated. A jatha was taken out from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple till the elephant sheds at Kodi Someshwara Temple inside the Palace. Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (APCCF), Project Tiger Jagat Ram, Chief Conservator of Forests T. Heeralal, DCFs Dr. Karikalan and Kamala Karikalan were present. Picture below shows NSS volunteers, Forest Department staff, Mahouts and Kavadis taking a pledge for wildlife protection and conservation on the occasion.
