August 4, 2019

Mysuru: In the context of a failed monsoon, a music programme with a theme ‘Baa Maleye Baa,’ titled ‘Karaoke Geeta Gayana,’ was organised by Arabhi Samskrutika Trust at Sri Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha on JLB Road here on Friday.

The programme featured lilting songs of Kannada and Hindi films centred around rain.

Singers Dr. N. Kuldeep, Mahesh Kumar, Dr. N.M. Raghuveer, Dr. G.V. Bharathi, Hemalatha, Divya Keshavan, Jeevan Kumar, Madhusudan and Roja entertained the audience with songs seeking divine blessings of Lord Varuna.

Speaking on the occasion, Trust’s Mahesh Kumar opined that destruction of environment on the pretext of development is responsible for floods and drought with total imbalance.

Trust President Dr. Kuldeep, Vice-President G.V. Bharathi, Secretary Raghuveer and others were present during the programme.
