Aam Janata skip celebrations, prayers

Amidst ‘Janata Curfew’ that highlighted the importance of maintaining social distancing yesterday, two souls came together as the couple entered into wedlock at a choultry in city with countable relatives as can be seen in the picture.

The historical St. Philomena’s Church, which is thronged by n-number of devotees and tourists on a regular basis, yesterday was a mute spectator to the ‘Janata Curfew’ even as Bishop of Mysuru Most Rev. Dr. K.A. William announced that the Holy Mass conducted on Sundays and days of obligation have been suspended till Mar. 31 following a Government advisory on preventive steps to check the spread of Coronavirus.
