Absence of drainage retaining wall posing danger to public

December 18, 2017

The absence of a retaining wall to the big drain behind Ambedkar Bhavan opposite Zakariya Masjid in Udayagiri coming under MCC Ward No.52 is posing danger to the public, especially motorists and children. Residents say that during rainy season, the rainwater fills the drain resulting in sewage water from the drain overflowing on the road. Even the mud on which the road is laid is also being swept away which may gradually result in the road caving-in. Authorities concerned are urged to take steps to get the retaining wall constructed at the earliest to prevent further damage and take note of public safety.
