Accident victim succumbs

Mysuru: A 21-year-old youth, who had met with an accident of July 14 and admitted to a private hospital here, succumbed to injuries yesterday night while being shifted to Bengaluru.

The deceased has been identified as Gundu Rao alias Gowdagere Shetty, son of Jadeshetty of Dodda Hinduvadi in Kollegal taluk.

Gundu Rao, at about 9.30 am, was riding his bike when he skidded and fell on the road opposite RPM School, injuring his head seriously and was rushed to Vidyaranya Hospital in city. He was being shifted to NIMHANS in Bengaluru yesterday night where he breathed his last mid-way.

Post-mortem was conducted at MMC&RI mortuary this morning and the body was handed over to his family members. Kollegal Police have registered a case.
