Accident victim succumbs to injuries

Mysuru: A bike rider, who was seriously injured after he hit a dog which had come all of a sudden in front of his bike and was admitted to a hospital, has breathed his last at the hospital on Wednesday.

The deceased is Girish (28), a native of Kollegal and an employee of a private hotel in city.

On Dec.21, Girish, along with his friend Siddaraju, was proceeding on the Ring Road from Hinkal towards Bogadi. When they came in front of the Bus Depot in Vijayanagar, a dog came in front of the bike all of a sudden and Girish, who lost control of the bike, hit the dog resulting in both Girish and Siddaraju suffering serious injuries.

They were immediately rushed to a private hospital, where Girish succumbed to injuries on Wednesday.

A case has been registered at V.V. Puram Traffic Police Station in this regard.
