Mysuru: The City Police have decided to take action against those bike riders who have altered the bike silencers to emit loud noise, thus causing trouble to people with noise pollution.

As a first step, Lakshmipuram Police stopped a person who was riding a Royal Enfield bike (KA.18 EE 8283) with the silencer blazing. They got a new silencer, removed the altered old silencer that was creating noise pollution, fitted it with the new one and returned the bike to the owner.

The Civil and Traffic Police have started a drive to identify such noise polluting bikes and take action against them.
