ACUK District Level Inter-School Cricket Tournament: Sarvesh Kumar shines for Excel Public School

An inspiring spell of bowling by Sarvesh Kumar (five for 13) helped Excel Public School, Mysuru to register a 67-run win over Sadvidya HS and enter the quarter-finals of District Level Inter-School Cricket Tournament being organised by Association of Cricket Umpires Karnataka (ACUK) held at the SDNR Wadiyar Stadium, here recently.

The Scores: Pre-quarter Finals:  Excel Public School 147 for nine in 30 overs (Vinay Prem 46, Abhay Rangan 35) bt Sadvidya HS 80 in 19.4 overs (Sarvesh Kumar five for 13); Manasarowar Pushkarini Vidyashrama 197 in 24.2 overs (Swaroop Kumar 117, Venkatesh three for 48, Hemachandra three for 25) bt CFTRI 75 in 22 overs (Swaroop Kumar four for 18).

Marimallappa HS 191 for nine in 30 overs (Mahendra Kumar 72, K. Kethan three for 23) bt Ideal Jawa Rotary School 60 in 19.3 overs (Mahendra Kumar four for 13, N.P.Vagesh three for 25).

II Round: Sadvidya HS 161 for eight in 30 overs (Dhanush Raj Urs 60) bt Baden Powell HS 97 in 25.2 overs (Akhilesh B. Rao 51, Raghavendra four for nine).

Kendriya Vidyalaya 135 in 27 overs (Rohit Yadav 45, Daivik Sanath four for 34) lost to St. Joseph’s Central School 136 for two in 17.5 overs (Chakshu R. Gowda 58 n.o).

Abhinava Bharathi Vidya Kendra 73 in 28.3 overs (S.N. Chethan three for 19) lost to Manasa Sarovara Pushkarni School 75 for one in 12.4 overs ( Swaroop Kumar 37).

Marimallappa HS 210 for seven in 30 overs (Suman 60) bt Royal Concorde HS 115 in 27.4 overs (Pawan 40, Rishab 39, Abhinom Jacob five for 26).

Abhinava Bharathi Vidya Kendra, Mandya 89 in 24.6 overs (Lohith four for 30, Nitish three for 12) lost to CFTRI, Mysuru 89 for four in 17.3 overs (Bhuvan 35 n.o).
