Adichunchanagiri Seer releases ‘Maleya Mahadeshwara Katha Manjari’

Mysuru: The Deepavali Mahotsava organised at Sri Mahadeshwaraswamy Temple in Kumbarakoppal concluded here on Saturday.

The prose version of the folk epic ‘Maleya Mahadeshwara Katha Manjari’ edited by folk scholar Dr. P.K. Rajashekar was released by Adichunchanagiri Mutt’s Mysuru Branch Seer Sri Someshwaranatha Swamiji and Sri Mokshathmanandaji of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama. Speaking on the occasion, Folk Singer Mysuru Krishnamurthy hailed the  book as a great work in folk form which was a pride for Kannadigas.

An ‘Anubhava Mantapa’ was also inaugurated at the temple premises which features pictures of miracles of Mahadeshwara.

Kumbarakoppal residents Suresh and former MLC D.Madegowda were felicitated on the occasion. Pratibha Puraskar was presented to students who had excelled in 2017 SSLC  and PU exams.

Corporators K.T. Cheluvegowda, Shivanna and residents of Kumbarakoppal attended the programme in large numbers.
