Admissions to KSOU starts from first week of September

Mysuru: After a long three-year lull, the academic activities have begun at the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) and the admission process for 17 courses will either begin next week or in the first week of September.

Speaking to SOM here this morning, KSOU Vice-Chancellor Prof. D. Shivalingaiah said that there are already enquiries pouring in by the students and the admission notification will be issued in all the newspapers in the first week of September.

Both the academic and non-teaching staff is busy processing notes, lessons and prospectus for the academic year 2018-19.

Asked about the remaining 15 courses, he said that once this process starts, he will write to the University Grants Commission (UGC) seeking approval for other courses. If it refuses to accord permission, then all efforts will be made to get the recognition for them too, he reiterated.
