Mysuru: Government Residential School for Specific Category Children (Nirdista Vargada Makkala Sarkari Vasathi Shale), Mosque Road, Nazarbad, has invited applications for admissions from Class 6 to 8 for the academic year 2019-20, under Sarva Shikshana Abhiyan.

Destitute, orphan, street urchins, children neglected by parents, school dropouts, migrant and sex workers children, aged between 12 – 14 years, may apply.

The School provides formal education to all students free-of-cost, besides ensuring residential facilities including nutritious food, free medical check-up and computer training facilities.

Students will also be given life-skill and skill development training that include making candles, soaps and phenyl, painting, drawing and handicrafts, Spoken English and tailoring classes. It also trains students in Bharatanatyam, Music, Cycling, Karate and Yoga. Annual scholarship of Rs.1,200 will also be provided.
