Admissions to State-run residential schools: 5 percent quota for children of SafaiKarmacharis

In an initiative aimed at benefiting SafaiKarmachari families, the Social Welfare Department has reserved five percent of seats in State-run Morarji Desai, Rani Chennamma, Ekalavya, Model, Atal Behari Vajpayee, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar and Indira Gandhi Residential Schools in the district, to children of SafaiKarmacharis.

In a press release, the Department said that these schools have called for applications for admission to sixth standard (2021-22) and five percent of the seats have been reserved for children of SafaiKarmacharis.

As such, the beneficiary children should make use of this opportunity and apply online and appear for the entrance test without fail, the release said.
