Advocates seek repoll to State Bar Council

Mysuru: Citing violations during the election for Karnataka State Bar Council held on Mar.27, advocate of District Court have urged the Council to hold a re-election. In that context, the advocates staged a protest near Gandhi’s bust opposite the Law Courts Complex here yesterday.

The advocates alleged that CCTV cameras were not installed in Mandya during polling, giving room for malpractices like compulsory favouring of a candidate.

They cited similar violations in Hubballi, Kushtagi and Chikkamagalur. They hence demanded a re-poll.
