Aero-modelling show attracts hundreds of spectators

Mysuru: Hundreds of spectators including tourists, who had come to witness Dasara festivities, thronged the Lalitha Mahal Helipad to witness the aero model show jointly organised as a part of the Dasara festivities by District Administration, Department of Tourism and Mysore Flying Association.

The remote-controlled (RC) aircrafts fascinated the audience who were mesmerised by the series of manoeuvres performed using the tiny metal birds.

These aircrafts were made to fly at a speed of about 300 kmph at a 600 meters range.

The models of Boomerang jet, Turbine jet, Corvus Racer 540 were some of aircrafts used in the aero-modelling show.

Yesterday’s show also witnessed 9-year-old Shivamithran, the youngest among the RC Pilots, flying the areo- models.

The The show was inaugurated by DC D. Randeep. IGP Vipul Kumar, CESC General Manager Satish Kumar, Tourism Deputy Director H.P. Janardhan, Public Libraries Deputy Director Manjunath and others were present.
