AGM of Kavery Kodava Okkoota held

Mysuru: The 16th Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) of Kavery Kodava Okkoota, N.R. Mohalla was held at Sahara Palace Function Hall on Shivaji Road here recently.

Okkoota President Mallengada A. Pemmaiah, Secretary Kodira Prakash Nanaiah and Committee Members lit the lamp.

The sports and cultural activities were inaugurated by Ammunichanda Sunil Poovaiah.

Okkoota President welcomed and presided. The AGM observed a minute’s silence to condole the death of Okkoota Members  — Chottenamada Cariappa, Alemada Subbaiah, Uddappanda Lokesh and Kodira Achaiah, who passed away during 2017.

On the occasion, prizes were distributed to winners of various events and meritorious students were feted. Senior Member Mallengada Shanthy Appaiah was felicitated by donor Chottemanda Ashok Uthappa’s family.

Chottemanda Geetha Ashok  was felicitated on receiving the Best Teacher Award from the State Government (2017-2018).

The day concluded with sports  and games. Kotera Revathi Kushalappa and  Kodira Pushpa Nanaiah proposed a vote of thanks.
