Mysuru: IEEE Mysore Sub-Section, a regional organisational Unit of IEEE, had organised its Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Prerana Bhavan of Mysore West Lions Sevaniketan in city recently.

Dr. Ravichandra Kulkarni, Dean R&D and Professor at MIT Mysuru, took over as the Chair for the second term.

Other office-bearers are Dr. N.V. Archana – Chair Elect 2025, Dr. R. Shashidhar -Secretary, Dr. Ramkrishna Hegde – Treasurer, Dr. S.S. Shivashankar – Vice-Chair of Membership Development, Dr. L. Vishwas – Vice-Chair of Professional Activities and Dr.  H.R. Shashidhar – Vice-Chair of Technical Activities.

Dr. Chandrakanta Kumar, Scientist at ISRO and Chair 2025-IEEE Bangalore Section, addressed the gathering.

IEEE Mysore Sub-Section also gave away awards to volunteers and student branches which are as follows: Emerging Student Branch – ATME, Mysuru; Outstanding Small Student Branch – Navkis College of Engineering, Hassan; Outstanding Large Student Branch (Joint winners) – NIE Mysuru and PESCE, Mandya; Outstanding Student Branch Counsellor (LSB) – Dr. M.G. Veena; Outstanding Student Branch Counsellor (SSB) – Dr. S. Shivashankara; Outstanding Volunteer – M.K. Skanda and Outstanding Student Volunteer – Hegde.

Dr. Ravichandra also gave away Chair’s Recognition and Appreciation awards to various volunteers for their contributions. The present IEEE Bangalore Section Chair Dr. Chandrakanta Kumar, Vice-Chair of Professional Activities – Dr. M.R. Chengappa, HPE and Dr. B.D. Paramesharachi, NMIT were felicitated after the AGM.
