Mysuru: MLA Tanveer Sait said that the efforts of thousands of employees is a crucial factor in the services rendered by KSRTC and three other State-run Transport Corporations which operate buses to every nook and corner of the State and are a lifeline to lakhs of passengers.
He was speaking after inaugurating the new building of Mysuru-Chamarajanagar-Mandya Districts KSRTC Employees Credit Co-operative Society (MDMS) at Bannimantap here recently.
Pointing out that the Society has jurisdiction over three districts of Mysuru, Mandya and Chamarajanagar, Sait said the Society has about 2,200 members.
“It is heartening to note that the Society has been striving for economic empowerment of thousands of KSRTC staff. The Society is doing a good job of lending loans at lower interest rates. When I was the Labour Minister in 2004, I had addressed issues concerning KSRTC workers too,” he said. KSRTC Mysuru Rural Divisional Commissioner (DC) B. Srinivas, Mysuru Urban DC H.D. Veeresh, Mandya DC S.P. Nagaraj, Chamarajanagar DC R. Ashok Kumar, MDMS President M.P. Nagaprasad, Vice-President S. Raghu & others were present.
