CME at JSS Hospital on ‘Basics of AI and its Current Relevance in Dermatology’

Mysuru: Dr. D. Narayanappa, Principal of JSS Medical College, has opined “Artificial Intelligence (AI) will be playing a bigger role in health sector in the future.”

He was speaking at the Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme organised by the Department of Dermatology, JSS Hospital, on the topic ‘Basics of AI and its Current Relevance in Dermatology’ in  city recently.

“The AI will come in handy in the treatment of patients in the coming days. In the era of technology, AI will be playing a significant role, as the technology has notably proven its capability in reading and analysing the images. It will be helpful in augmenting the capacity in reducing errors in deciding the ailment,” said Dr. Narayanappa.

Dr. C.P. Madhu, Medical Superintendent of JSS Hospital said that by incorporating AI at the hospital, treatment cost can also be brought down.

Dr. S. Veeranna, Professor, Dermatology Department, JSS Academy of Higher Education and Research (JSS AHER) and President of Mysuru Dermatology Society, suggested that more remedial benefits of AI to the patients can be known if the students dig more into AI.
