AIBEA to release list of 2,426 wilful defaulters who owe Rs.1,47,350 crore

Mysore/Mysuru: The All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA), as part of 51st anniversary of Bank Nationalisation and to strengthen the banks to achieve Atma Nirbar will be shortly releasing the list of 2,426 borrower accounts, who are wilful defaulters and together owe Rs.1,47,350 crore to various banks.

According to the press release from AIBEA, the Association will also be pressing for the fulfilment of their various demands while celebrating the Bank Nationalisation Day.

Their demands include strengthening of public sector banks, adequate capital be provided to all banks, to stops attempts of privatisation, stringent measures be taken to recover corporate bad loans, to make wilful default of bank loan a criminal offence, names of all loan defaulters be published, to ensure bank defaulters from holding public office and contest elections, reduction of service charges to common people to access banking service etc.

The AIBEA will shortly undertake a nationwide campaign pressing for these demands.
