Applications have been invited from interested persons to work as Occasional Announcers at Akashvani Mysuru — All India Radio (AIR).

Those selected through written test, voice test and interview will be eligible to work under contract basis. Test and Service Fee for General candidates is Rs. 300 and for SC/ ST is Rs. 225.

Candidates must be a degree holder from any recognised University and must be a resident of Mysuru, Mandya or Chamarajanagar district. Preference will be given to Mysureans.

Candidates should have clarity in pronunciation of Kannada language and should have knowledge of literature, music, art, culture and daily happenings.

They should also have English knowledge and computer skills to prepare programmes.

Those in the age group of 20 to 50 years may obtain the prescribed applications from Akashvani in Yadavagiri during working hours and submit the filled in forms by Nov. 30, along with voice test fee, to the Office of Director, Occasional Announcers Division, Akashvani Mysuru, according to a press release.
