Mysuru lad Yashas M. Urs, a 8th standard student of Excel Public school, Mysuru, entered the final in the Boys U-16 Singles event in the AITA Talent Series National-level Junior Tennis Tournament at Pondicherry recently.
In semi-finals, Yashas scored an upset win over top-seed Harisharan Bhaskaran (TN) 6-4, 6-1. In quarter-finals, Yashas had a upset win over third seeded Krish Subramaniam (TN) 6-4, 6-4. Yashas has also entered the finals in the Junior Boys U-16 Doubles event teaming up with B. Subramaniam.
