AITUC to hold protest on Aug.10

August 8, 2020

Mysore/Mysuru: Strongly condemning the anti-labour policies of the Government, All India Trade Union Congress (AITUC), Mysuru Unit General Secretary H.R. Seshadri, said that various Trade Unions will be holding a protest in front of Deputy Commissioner’s (DC) Office on Aug. 10, seeking fulfilment of their demands.

“Several labour laws are being amended by the present Government. These are going to adversely affect the lives of over 75 percent of labourers working in various industries and business establishments. This would only lead to exploitation of workers by the employers, as according to new labour laws, employers need not seek consent from the Government in case of lay-offs and while closing down any production units having less than 300 workers,” he said.
