Mysuru: The Akhila Bharatiya Sahitya Parishat will be holding its two-day State- level meet at Senate Bhavan in Manasagangothri here on Dec.29 and 30.
Pramoda Devi Wadiyar will inaugurate the meet at 10.30 am on Dec.29. Infosys Foundation Chairperson Sudha Murty will be the guest of honour. Parishat National General Secretary Dr. Rushi Kumar Mishra will deliver the keynote address. Noted columnist Prof. Prema Shekar will be the Sammelana Chairperson.
The two-day event features Indianness in Kannada literature, Indianness in Hindi literature and Indianness in Sanskrit among others. Later in the evening, cultural programmes will take place at 6.30 pm, during which Bharatanatyam, Hindustani music, folk dance, etc., will be performed by artistes from across the State.
A multi-lingual kavigoshti will take place at 9 am on Dec.30.
This is the second edition of the State-level meet, with the first one held at Yadalli near Sirsi in Uttar Kannada District in May 2016 under the Chairmanship of noted poet Prof. Doddarangegowda.
Parishat Coordinator Nandakumar will deliver the valedictory address. Saraswati Samman awardee Dr. S.L. Bhyrappa will be the guest of honour.
