City Publisher D.N. Lokappa appointed as first President of the Association

Mysore/Mysuru: City Publisher D.N. Lokappa has been appointed as the first President of Akhila Karnataka Lekhakara Mattu Prakashakara Sangha (All Karnataka Writers and Publishers Association), which will come into existence on Nov.25.

The other office-bearers are: MLC A.H. Vishwanath – Hon. President, Nataraj Chowdhury and N. Girigowda – Vice-Presidents, Manasa – General Secretary, U.S. Mahesh – Secretary, Shashikumar – Treasurer and B. Nagendra – Joint Secretary.

The members are: H.T. Shylaja, Dr. H.S. Rudresh, S.H. Mahadevanayaka, Jinahalli Siddalingappa, Sathanur Devaraj, K.C. Omkarappa, N. Bettegowda and B.N. Srinivas.

The formal launch of the Sangha will take place during the Kannada Rajyotsava celebration to be held at Rotary Hall on JLB Road at 6 pm on Nov. 25. Maharani’s Arts College Faculty Dr. B.V. Vasanthkumar will inaugurate the programme. MLC A.H. Vishwanath will preside. Senior Journalist Amshi Prasannakumar will speak on Kannada Rajyotsava. MLC C.N. Manjegowda and Additional DC Dr. B.S. Manjunathaswamy will be the chief guests.
