Akkarai Sisters perform at 8th Cross Heritage Music Festival

Akkarai Sisters — Vidu. Akkarai Subhalakshmi and Vidu. Akkarai Sornalatha — presenting a violin duet at 8th Cross, V.V. Mohalla, last evening as part of the 60th Heritage Music Festival organised by Sri Prasanna Vidya Ganapathi Mandali Charitable (SPVGMC) Trust. They were accompanied by Vid. Sai Giridhar on mridanga and Vid. Giridhar Udupa on ghata. Picture right shows a section of the music-lovers at the venue.

The concerts scheduled for today and tomorrow have been postponed due to weekend curfew. On Monday (Jan. 10), Vid. Kunnakudi M. Balamuralikrishna will present a vocal concert accompanied by Vidu. Akkarai Subhalakshmi on violin, Vid. Patri Satish Kumar on mridanga and Vid. Suresh Vaidyanathan on morching. [Only those who have taken two doses of COVID vaccine can attend the event]
