Mysore/Mysuru: M. Appanna, Chairman of State-owned Jungle Lodges and Resorts (JLR), today inspected the landed properties attached to Lalitha Mahal Hotel that is run by JLR.
Referring to safeguarding of the Palace Hotel premises in the wake of Pramoda Devi Wadiyar’s press meet on Saturday, during which she clarified on the Gate erected in Lalitha Mahal Helipad premises and levelled allegations of encroachment of the landed properties of Maharajas, Appanna said that the authorities have been alerted by Pramoda Devi’s revelations.
He said that he himself inspected the entire area of Lalitha Mahal Palace Hotel this morning, keeping a copy of the map, to get a first-hand information and to make a physical check about the total space covering the entire landed properties that belonged to the Hotel.
Maintaining that all measures will be taken to safeguard and secure the land of the Hotel, he said that repairs will be done to the fencing wherever it has come apart. He further said that following complaints of illegal activities taking place in the surroundings of the Hotel, the Police would be asked to take action in this regard by stepping up round-the-clock vigil.
