All-women Yakshagana and cultural events on Mar. 8

To celebrate International Women’s Day, three-city based associations will jointly host a cultural programme on Mar. 8 (Sunday). The Chitpavan Brahmin Sangha, Uttara Kannada Jilla Samskruthika Sangha and Karada Brahmana Sabha have organised the event at Uttara Kannada Zilla Samskruthika Sangha premises in Kuvempunagar, opposite Lava Kusha Park, Mysuru, from 3.30 pm onwards.

Sri Sharada Vishwabhavaikya Ashram President Mathaji Amoghamayi will inaugurate. Apart from Bharatanatyam and music, Dakshayagna yakshagana will be performed by Chitpavan women’s troupe on the occasion, according to Chitpavan Brahman Association President Dinesh Chiplaunkar.
