Mysore/Mysuru: Following complaints that the Gomaala land belonging to the Government has been encroached upon by a Housing Society of the city, Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) and Revenue Department officials on Friday carried out a survey of lands coming under Lingambudhi Palya Survey Nos. 65, 66 and 68 in the outskirts of the city.
The team of officials comprised MUDA Town Planning Assistant Director Vishu, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) Nagesh, Revenue Inspector Prashanth, Village Accountant Nagesh and surveyors, according to MUDA Commissioner Dr. D.B. Natesh.
The survey was carried out after there were complaints that Bharat Ratna Dr. M. Visvesvaraya Housing Co-operative Society had encroached upon Gomaala lands coming under Lingambudhi Palya Survey No. 65, while forming its residential layout in a total of 16.25 acres of land, including 10.13 acre in Survey No. 66 and 6.12 acre in Survey No. 68.
Mysuru Taluk Tahsildar K.R. Rakshith told Star of Mysore that officials measured lands of residential layouts and adjacent areas coming under both the Survey numbers by carrying the original Plan, akarbandh (survey record of the map) and other relevant land records with them. After comparison and scrutiny of records, a report will be prepared, he added.
