Alleged gold fraud: Customers protest in front of City Police Commissioner’s Office

April 30, 2026

Mysore/Mysuru: The customers of SDJ Gold Company staged a protest in front of City Police Commissioner’s Office in Nazarbad yesterday demanding action against the company for cheating them.

The customers alleged that the company’s owner Chinnatambi, who promised to get their mortgaged gold released, had cheated them. They also accused the owner of threatening them and demanded the Police to summon Chinnatambi to the Police Commissioner’s Office and resolve the issue.

“The mortgaged gold is melted and sold. There is no gold or money. The company is threatening us with rowdy elements. No action is taken despite filing complaints. Several customers have been cheated. The Police should investigate and provide justice for us,” the protestors urged.
