Alter parking slot restricted for disabled on Ashoka Road

May 17, 2018

Sir,

There is a stretch of around 100 mtrs near SBR Mohan Jewellery Hall on Ashoka Road restricted for parking by the disabled. Since we shop-keepers are already running short of parking space on Ashoka Road and as most of our customers are shying away from our shops, we request the authorities concerned to remove this slot as it is lying vacant and dedicate the stretch for common two-wheeler parking.

At present many people, especially ladies don’t notice the signboard and park their vehicles at the short stretch meant for disabled. This has resulted in the Traffic cops towing the vehicles and imposing hefty fines.

On behalf of the motorists, I request the authorities to remove this disabled parking signboard and make way for other motorists or erect barricades and  save tax-paying citizens’  hard earned money.
