Amateur badminton player dies of heart attack during practice

Mysore/Mysuru: M.C. Gurudev (73), an amateur badminton player and a resident of Ittigegud in city, died after suffering a heart attack while playing the game with his friends in Bengaluru yesterday.

 He used to play badminton every morning and on Saturday, he left for Bengaluru on some work. On Sunday morning, he was practicing the game with his friends when he collapsed in the badminton court. Though he was rushed to a hospital by his friends, he breathed his last.  

A retired KSRTC Traffic Inspector, he leaves behind his wife Kaushalya, son Raghu, daughter Ranjitha and a host of relatives and friends. His body was brought to city yesterday night. Last rites were held at the foot of Chamundi Hill today.
